The short version

  • Be nice — don't abuse the service or try to break things
  • One account per person — keep your API key secure and don't share it
  • Purchases are final — but contact us if you have issues
  • We can update these terms — we'll change the date at the top when we do
  • Service "as is" — we do our best but can't guarantee 100% uptime

1 Acceptance

By creating an account or using Coding Buddy (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2 Description of service

Coding Buddy is a status-monitoring tool that displays your Claude Code session state on an Android device in real time. The Service consists of:

  • A bridge server that receives hook events and relays them via WebSocket.
  • An Android application that displays your coding buddy’s status.
  • Voice input — the ability to send voice messages from the Android app to your Claude Code terminal.
  • Optional premium avatar packs available for purchase.

3 Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and password to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API key secure.
  • One account per person. Do not share your API key with others.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
Keep your API key secret: Anyone with your API key can send events to your buddy. If you suspect it's been compromised, regenerate it from the dashboard.

4 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack the Service infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the server or app beyond normal use.
  • Use automated tools to create accounts or abuse API endpoints.
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service.

5 Purchases & payments

  • Premium avatar packs are one-time purchases processed through Mollie.
  • Donations are voluntary contributions processed through Mollie. Donations are non-refundable.
  • All avatar purchases are final. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at support@coding-buddy.com.
  • Purchased avatars are tied to your account. If you delete your account, purchase records are removed.
Payment security: We never see or store your credit card details. All payments are processed securely by Mollie.

6 Account termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from the Dashboard or the Android app.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, all your data (including purchases) will be permanently deleted.
Warning: Deleting your account removes all purchased avatars. This cannot be undone.

7 Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

8 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coding Buddy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

9 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
